Nathan Evan Shelby, a successful attorney at Rainey, Kizer, Rever, and Bell for 16 years, passed away on September 6, 2023. He was born on October 5, 1979 in Memphis, TN.

Nathan was known not only for his career accomplishments but also for his kindheartedness and the countless lives he touched. He dedicated his life to helping others and was deeply loved by all who knew him.

Outside of his professional life, Nathan found solace in the wonders of nature. His hobbies included dove, duck, and deer hunting. Spending time in the great outdoors brought him peace and allowed him to connect with his surroundings.

One of Nathan's proudest accomplishments was coaching his children in baseball, football, and basketball. He cherished the time spent together on the field or court, teaching them valuable lessons of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. He truly enjoyed being around children.

Nathan's positive impact extended beyond just his immediate family. He leaves behind a loving wife, Ashley McDow Shelby; their three beautiful children: Thomas Miller Shelby, William Walker Shelby, and Elizabeth Brooke Shelby; as well as sisters Bonnie Shelby and Jessica Plunk.

In addition to his close family members, Nathan is survived by his Aunt Nancy Stevens and Uncles Kelly Miller, Kevin Shelby, and Scott Shelby. He will forever be remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Nathan is also preceded in death by his  beloved  parents Dennis and Hope Shelby.

To honor Nathan's memory and celebrate his life lived to the fullest;  visitation will be held on September 8th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Connell Memorial Church located at 113 Church Street in Goodlettsville, TN.
